Inspired by the summer dinner party I recently hosted with friends and family, I wanted to share with you a cleansing version of the recipe as it seemed to have been the most popular one out of the homemade mocktails I put together on that day.
This is a quick and easy recipe that can be done in less than 5 minutes and can also be altered to each individual taste with more or less ingredients.
The initial recipe had more sliced oranges, one lime, cucumbers and mint leaves which was an enjoyable refreshment for both adults and children. Whereas this one i would recommend if you want to enjoy a drink that will also help to detox or/and loose weight.
I had two bottles of 7ups drinks that i decided to use for this recipe but, it can be diluted with water for a more healthier option or, you can use sparkling water instead (of soda /sprite) for a sugar free option.
I added a lot more basil as it will help cleanse my stomach from all the unhealthy food i binged on during the week , soda and lime as the mojito base and apple for that crunchy bite.
Once all the ingredients are put together and mixed in the jug, it is best to let all the flavours infuse for about 20 to 40 minutes in the refrigerator before you can enjoy it.
All the ingredients used for the mocktails ( except the fizzy drinks), were from @freshdailyng ( on instagram).
Let me know if you try this and feel free to share your mocktail recipes in the comments.
