CHIME BAKES

Hey foodilics,

What a wonderful month March has been to the blog. I am very excited and look forward to the greater things that God has lined up for the blog in the following months.

If you follow me on intagram @wheretoeatabuja, you would have guessed from the boomerang i shared live that my next review was going to be about Chime Bakes.

I was overly chuffed when i received these scrumptious gourmet cupcakes from Chime Bakes a couple of days ago and i just couldn’t wait to tell you all about it.
CHIME BAKES is a home baking business that has been around since 2014. They have a variety of cakes, cupcakes, cookies, loaf cakes and fried doughnuts in different flavours. They also have cake craft supplies and accessories available for sale.

The lovely lady behind it, who is also a fellow foodie, decided to start baking as business after she was unable to find some particular types of cakes she loved in abuja. ( Lemon drizzle cake was one of them she mentioned).😊
“I started by baking for my work colleagues and as my confidence grew, I began to supply cakes for my office parties and to friends and family.” She said. I appreciate it when people share the story behind their businesses because it might just be what someone else could be waiting to hear or read for that extra boost of confidence in starting their own business.

My cupcakes arrived nicely secured in a box with a golden ribbon wrapped around it. I had banana, coconut and cookie and cream flavours. They all smelled and tasted delicious 😋 but my favourites had to be coconut followed by cookie and cream. The cake had a very light and fluffy texture which i love and the topping was just the right amount. Next thing to try from their list will be the doughnuts and the redvelvet cake. 😍

For 6 cupcakes i normally buy at 3,000 Naira, Chime Bakes sells them at 2,100 Naira. They design cakes from 6 to 14 inches and the prices vary between 5,500 Naira to 16,000 Naira.
I don’t know about you guys but these are some bargain. I wish i had known about Chime Bakes a couple months back when i was planing my baby’s bithday.
They are available on Instagram, Facebook and snapchat as CHIMEBAKES ( in small letters). You can find their email and telephone number on their instagram page in case you would like to contact them for more inquiries.

I would definitely recommend Chime Bakes because their cupcakes are as good as the ones you would pay 500 naira for, they are affordable and you don’t have to queue up in shops when they can deliver to you anywhere in Abuja.

Try their bakeries and let me know.

Take care now,

R.
